The Finca is located high in the mountains, far from shops and tourist amenities. Renting a car in Costa Rica can be complicated, and for the duration of your tour, it’s simply not necessary.

If you plan to travel elsewhere after the tour, we’re happy to help you arrange a rental car for the next leg of your journey.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise.

If you need to leave the tour early for any reason, we’ll do our best to assist with transportation and logistics. While we can’t offer refunds for missed days, we’ll help make your departure as smooth and stress-free as possible.

We’ll provide you with hotel details and other important information. You’ll book your flight to arrive on the Saturday your tour begins. If possible, aim to arrive after 3 PM, when your room will be ready.

There’s no real need to go into town, especially while carrying your gear. We’ll either meet you at the airport or let you know how to take one of the official taxis directly to the hotel.

The Finca offers a peaceful, rural setting with comfortable accommodations and several shared facilities. Guests stay in charming rooms that are arranged to host small groups, with a focus on comfort and connection to nature. Meals are served in a large communal dining hall, and all food is prepared by local cooks using fresh, regional ingredients. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen and a yoga pavilion that doubles as a quiet space for stretching, group discussions, or simply relaxing with a view of the surrounding landscape.

The grounds include garden paths, open areas for photography, and plenty of spots to enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle. It’s a calm, nature-focused environment, so you won’t find shops, spas, or tourist attractions on-site, but that’s part of the charm. Wi-Fi is available in the main communal areas for those who want to stay connected or share their photos during the tour.

We provide all meals, snacks, and beverages, including beer and wine with dinner and lunch when we eat out. While the Finca is simple in style, it’s warm, welcoming, and ideal for unwinding after a day of shooting. If you’re looking for a comfortable base that keeps the focus on photography, good food, and authentic Costa Rican hospitality, this is the perfect place.

The pool is shared, but it’s quiet and rarely crowded.

It’s an infiti pool located on the Finca property and available for all guests to use. Since our tours are small and the setting is peaceful, you’ll often find you have it to yourself, especially in the early mornings or after our photography outings.

No. Fast internet is provide in public areas and your cabins.

We’ve got you covered from breakfast to bedtime.

We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages throughout the tour. Meals are prepared by local cooks using fresh, regional ingredients, and we aim for a balance of traditional Costa Rican flavors and familiar comfort food.

You’ll enjoy relaxed, communal meals either at the Finca or at hand-picked local restaurants. Water, juice, coffee, and tea are always available, and we also include beer and wine with dinner and lunch when we dine out.

No, you don’t need to bring your own alcohol.

We provide a selection of wine and beer to enjoy with evening meals and anytime we dine out for lunch at a restaurant. If you enjoy a drink or two, you’ll be well looked after.

That said, we do have a limited supply. If you’re someone who likes more than a casual glass or two, just let us know, we’ll do our best to make sure you’re happy, or help you pick something up locally.

Yes and no! 🙂 Pleanty of soft drinks, good water, coffee etc. If you’re looking for somethingmore adult then the bad news is we only server wine and beer. However if you like you can bring a bottle of duty free as long as you share.

Rooms at the Finca are simple, clean, and designed for comfort after a full day of exploring. Each space is thoughtfully arranged, with fresh linens, comfortable beds, and screened windows to let in the mountain breeze. Most rooms are shared, though we can accommodate special requests depending on availability. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal,think more rustic retreat than hotel, but everything you need is provided.

Mosquito netting is available if needed, though the higher elevation and good ventilation usually keep bugs to a minimum.
